Wayfarer Privacy Policy

Wayfarer is designed to provide tarot, journaling, study, astrology, widgets, reminders, and premium access features. This policy explains what information the app processes and how it is used.

Information You Provide or Create

• Tarot reflections, journal entries, readings, study progress, quiz attempts, and astrology profile details may be saved in the app.
• Astrology profile details can include birth date, birth time, birth place, latitude, longitude, timezone, and zodiac signs.
• If you contact support, we receive the information you choose to include in your message.

How Information Is Stored

Your tarot, journal, reading, study, and astrology records are stored on your device and may sync through your private iCloud account using Apple CloudKit when iCloud is enabled for the app. We do not provide a separate Wayfarer account.

Backend Processing

Some astrology features send request details to Wayfarer's backend so the app can calculate birth chart signs, search for places, show planet transitions, or request horoscope-style forecast text. These requests may include birth date, birth time, birth place, coordinates, timezone, zodiac sign, selected forecast scope, and technical request data such as IP address and user agent that hosting providers normally process.

The backend uses third-party services where needed, including geocoding providers for place lookup and astrology forecast providers for forecast text. Birth chart signs are calculated from astronomical data and resolved location/time information.

Notifications

If you enable reminders, the app may store a generated device identifier, APNs device token, timezone, and an hourly app-open histogram in CloudKit so the backend can decide when to send reminder notifications. You can turn notifications off in the app or in iOS Settings.

Purchases

Premium purchases and subscriptions are handled by Apple through StoreKit. Wayfarer does not receive your payment card details. The app checks Apple purchase status to unlock premium features and restore purchases.

Diagnostics

The app may create crash diagnostics on your device to help troubleshoot issues. These diagnostics are not sent automatically by Tarot Daily; you choose whether to export and share them.

Tracking and Advertising

Wayfarer does not sell your personal information, does not show third-party advertising, and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Data Retention and Deletion

On-device and iCloud-synced app data remains until you delete it in the app, remove the app, or delete related iCloud data. Backend request logs, if retained by hosting providers, are kept only as needed for security, debugging, service operation, and legal compliance. To request help with data questions, contact support.

Children

Wayfarer is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review the issue.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app changes. The updated version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
